Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of CodeTrain (the "Service"), operated by Inferhaven ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. The Service
CodeTrain is a hands-on coding trainer that teaches you on your own codebase, one step at a time. It runs as a local agent on your machine plus a cloud control plane for accounts, billing, usage limits, and (on paid plans) team features. Your source code stays on your machine — see our Privacy Policy.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. Authentication is handled by our provider (Clerk). You must be at least 16 to use the Service.
3. Plans, billing & cancellation
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis via our payment processor (Stripe). By subscribing you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime from your dashboard; access continues until the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion.
- We may change pricing with reasonable notice; changes apply to the next billing cycle.
- The free tier is provided as-is and may change or be discontinued.
4. Usage limits & fair use
Plans include usage limits (sessions and a metered model-cost budget). We may rate-limit, throttle, or suspend usage that is abusive, automated beyond normal use, or that threatens the Service's stability or our costs.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service: no illegal activity, no attempts to breach security or access other users' data, no reselling the Service as a thin pass-through, and no use that violates the terms of our model providers. You retain ownership of your code and content.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, and brand are owned by Inferhaven. The free, open-source skill is licensed separately under its repository license. You keep all rights to your own code.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties (e.g. Clerk for auth, Stripe for payments, OpenRouter / Anthropic for model access, Cloudflare, Fly.io, Neon). Your use may be subject to their terms.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI output may be inaccurate; you are responsible for reviewing and testing any code. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inferhaven is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for amounts exceeding what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Sections that by nature should survive termination (IP, disclaimers, liability) do.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
